Dr Aini is currently a Consultant in Colorectal Surgery in Sarawak General Hospital and an associate professor in Surgery in Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). She is currently the Secretary for Malaysian Society of Colorectal Surgeons ( MSCRS ) Malaysia 2023-2025. She received her Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MB BCh BAO) from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2003 and obtained her Doctor of General Surgery (Dr Gen Surg) from National University of Malaysia in 2013. She completed her training in Colorectal Surgery in various hospitals in Malaysia, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok and Korea University, Seoul , South Korea.
