Dr. Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1995 and obtained his Fellowship in Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, FRCS (Glasg), in 1999. After completing his Advanced Specialty Training in General Surgery, Dr. Lim worked as a consultant in the Department of Colorectal Surgery, SGH until he started his private practice in 2011. Currently, Dr. Lim is the President of the Society for Continence Singapore, which is a voluntary welfare association with an IPC charity status. He also served as President of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons (Singapore) from 2017 to 2019. Dr. Lim is a member of the Singapore Medical Association and Faculty of Medical Experts (Academy of Medicine, Singapore). He is a Visiting Consultant to the Department of Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Sengkang General Hospital. Dr. Lim is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
